📖 How to Play Black Hole
🎯 Objective
Place tiles so your lowest-value tiles end up closest to the Black Hole.
The player whose tiles are worth less near the hole wins.
🔄 Turn Order
- Players alternate placing one tile per turn on any empty hex.
- Tile values increase each round — both players receive tiles 1, 2, 3 … 22 in the same
order.
- After all 44 tiles are placed, the single remaining empty hex becomes the ⚫ Black Hole.
🌀 Scoring — The Event Horizon
Hexes are scored in rings of distance from the Black Hole outward:
- Ring 1 — hexes directly adjacent to the Black Hole.
- Ring 2 — hexes adjacent to Ring 1, and so on.
Compare each player's tile sum in Ring 1. Lower sum wins immediately.
If tied, move to Ring 2. Continue outward until a winner is found.
💡 Strategy Tips
- 🟢 Save your 1s and 2s — place low tiles near where the Black Hole will form.
- 🔴 Dump high tiles early (18–22) — push them to the far edges.
- ⭐ Ring 1 is decisive — winning it ends the game immediately in your favour.
- 🤔 Player 2 has a slight edge (~52%) — you can react to where P1 plays.
